Parents United is a non-profit consortium of 27 southeastern Wisconsin special education departments that have united to provide an educational community service. The mission of the group is to present timely and informative information, in a neutral forum, for parents and professionals who work with children. The lectures and presentations offered each school year provide essential links, knowledge and networking to the entire community for the ultimate benefit of our students.

What attendees are saying . . .

I LOVE the topics and the speakers seem to be the best in the business. As my son grows I REALLY appreciate finding out what to watch for in the future and try be pro-active in helping him through school life. I take as many of these “classes” to be the best parent I could possibly be. It really takes a village to raise a child and we as parents NEED to be involved.

Waukesha School District

When our daughter with special needs graduated from high school, her special needs and her need to grow with education did not. Parents United continues to help our daughter by providing us continuing parental education.

Steve & Gert, Parents

Graduate students taking the Concordia University course through the partnership with Parents United have created research projects ranging from single-student behavior improvement plans to redesigned district websites. Many have expressed how grateful they are to be involved in credit attainment that is truly of use to them. The Concordia-Parents United partnership has benefitted so many professionals, children and families in its first 5 years.
