The explosion in technology-based gaming, social networking, instant communication, and entertainment media has become a potent force in our lives and that of our children.  This presentation will explore the perils and promises posed by current technologies, as well as rapidly emerging advances in artificial intelligence, robotics and human-machine interfaces that will dramatically change our lives.  Information regarding the impact of technology use related to psychological, emotional and relational well-being of kids and adolescents will be shared along with practical guidelines for parents and collaborative strategies for parents and kids together to set appropriate boundaries around technology.
